Let's try this again!

Sooooo....  since my last post explaining that France was starting a confinement to battle COVID-19.  We were released from confinement and I went crazy doing everything I could to enjoy my freedom again. We traveled a lot, went to the beach a few times per week and I took a sand sailing class!  In French it's called Char รก voile and it is seriously so much fun!

We went on a wonderful three week vacation around central France..  I am going to post more about our vacation in the coming weeks.

I went back to French school in the Fall ....  AND..... I bought an electric scooter!  This set of wheels is so much fun for getting around a very bike friendly city!

AND... for the most recent bit of news France has been re-confined due to the COVID-19 second wave.

For now we are tucked away healthy and safe in our cozy nook.  I have set some goals for this second confinement.  Here they are:

1.  Spend time on my spiritual development everyday

2.  Do some kind of exercise everyday

3.  Continue to study French

4.  Do something creative everyday

5.  Catch up with friends and family

We are one week into our new confinement and here is this week's progress on those goals

1.  I spent some reserved time in prayer, next week I would like to do the same but also add on reading daily in  New Morning Mercies by Paul Tripp

2.  Vince and I signed up to do the Honolulu Virtual Marathon in December and that has been AWESOME for getting out booties out the door.  If any of you are interested the marathon has an option to run or walk the race in segments over the whole month of December.  https://www.honolulumarathon.org/home/2020-virtual-events

3.  Thankfully my french school is offering classes via Skype.  As a supplement I am studying to get my drivers license in France as well as reading a couple different books in French.

4.  I have been searching for some creative inspiration on Pinterest and discovered lots of recipes I want to try as well as Paper Quilling.

This week I made Maple-Rosemary Popcorn (This is TOOOOO yummy - https://www.bakeyourday.net/maple-rosemary-popcorn/#_a5y_p=3213421

I also made this out of plain copy paper and post-its!  It was a fun challenge to see what I could make only with things we had laying around the house! ๐Ÿ‘‰

 5.  I have gotten to catch up with several friends and family this week.  If any of you are interested in         scheduling a Skype, Facetime or phone party I would love to catch up!

So that is the news with us.  I hope all of you are well, happy and taking time to enjoy your days.  I will try to write more again soon!  ๐Ÿ’›
